Yes, there really is a "Miss Mary." My name is "Miss" Mary B. Welsch, and I'm sorry to say that contrary to popular belief, I do not have a little lamb.
What I do have is an amazing collection of vintage images that I'm now making available as part of the Quaint & Curious Clip Art Collection.
The collection began with the gift of an old tin treasure box when I was ten. It contained antique postcards, a little beaded purse, a silver spoon, and a frightening tintype of forgotten family members.
Years later I restored that scary tintype as a way to learn Adobe Photoshop (Version 3!). With the image restored, I sought new challenges in the "instant ancestors" found in antique shops, which quickly grew into a passion for collecting all sorts of antique images, from vintage postcards to Victorian scraps and ephemera.
Other sources for the images in my collection are the vintage 19th century books, magazines, and newspapers that make up my personal library. The articles and illustrations that appear in my free newsletters are culled from such titles as Peterson's Magazine, Arthur's Home Magazine, and Godey's Lady's Book, to name a few.
I invite you to explore my clip art collection. To ask a question, make a comment, or just say "Hi Miss Mary," use my handy contact form for a speedy reply.
